Waiting families
Kyle + Angie
Dear birth parent(s),
We are Kyle, Angie, and Palmer! To begin, we would like to thank you for your decision to consider adoption for your child. We know this must be an extremely difficult time for you and we appreciate your bravery and selfless love. Thank you for considering us and for taking the time to get to know us.
Kyle was born in central Wyoming and after moving to a different town to complete college and begin his career, he moved home in 2009 to be closer to family. Angie was born in northeast Wyoming and lived there until 5th grade when her family relocated to northeast Missouri, where she lived for several years before moving back to Wyoming with her mother and step-father.
We first met in 2008 and were married in 2011. After struggling to conceive for the first 3 years of our marriage, we welcomed our daughter Palmer in 2015. Angie became very ill while pregnant and Palmer was born just shy of 6 weeks premature. Since her birth we have experienced multiple miscarriages in our attempt to grow our family. Going through these losses together has brought us closer as a family and has also opened our hearts to adoption.
We are both blessed to have wonderfully supportive families, both in Wyoming and in Missouri. Kyle’s father was adopted along with his older brother when they were both young children. Kyle also has a sister that joined the family as an adult, and though she has never been legally adopted, she has been family for years. We see our local family almost daily and both sides of our family come together for holidays and family gatherings as our parents have been friends for years. We get to see Angie’s very large Missouri family at least once per year and have frequent phone and video calls in between visits.
Kyle works as a Civil Engineer, which has been his passion since high school. After an 18-year career in banking, Angie moved on 2 years ago and became the Administrative Assistant for the small Christian school that our daughter attends. This career change has allowed us all to focus more on our faith and family and has strengthened our family more than we would’ve thought possible. Palmer is an incredibly kind-hearted and caring girl who loves with all her heart. She enjoys time with all of her cousins (which vary in age from 2 to 26) and extended family and would love to help us welcome a new baby to the family!
Our family enjoys a shared interest in shooting sports, hunting, camping, and participating in rendezvous (which is how we met). Kyle loves to spend time out on the lake and is an avid bow fisherman. He also plays the bagpipes in the local pipe band and performs with them in parades and competitions as well as playing individually at church and other events. Angie has a passion for volunteer work and loves helping at the school and at our church. She also enjoys spending time working in the garden and flower beds and has recently learned to crochet. Palmer plays piano, enjoys school (especially art, science, and Latin), and loves doing anything that involves spending time with her family and friends. We adore this big, beautiful state that we live in and take many family trips to our “local” destinations, such as Yellowstone, Thermopolis, and Cody but also love South Dakota, where Kyle’s mother grew up. We love playing and snuggling with our 4 dachshunds; Bean, Nugget, Meatball, and Rolo. They bring another level of humor and love to our home.
We are excited about the possibility of welcoming a new addition to our family and providing them with a loving and nurturing home where they can grow! We don’t know you yet, but already have so much respect for you and the love you are showing for your child.
~Kyle, Angie, and Palmer
