Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are George, Cara and Max. We are grateful that you love your unborn child so much that you are willing to consider an adoption plan for him or her. We met over seven years ago and life has been an adventure since. It is our dream that we can add to our family through adoption. We look forward to developing an open relationship with the birth parents of our adoptive child.
A little about us:
We will be married five years in December but have been together over seven years. We met online and knew quickly we belonged together. Cara was born and raised in a small town in Nebraska with her two sisters. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Instructional Leadership. Cara currently works as an elementary school principal and has 16 years of teaching and leadership experience in education. George was born and raised in Okene, Nigeria with three brothers and two sisters. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelors degree in Geology. George is a pipeline engineer for the federal government as well as a Captain in the Army Reserves. Currently George is deployed to Somalia but will be able to return to the United States should we be selected by birth parents.
We live just outside of Cheyenne, WY on 35 acres of land with our son (Max) and dog (Zoey). Zoey is our 11 year old dog who loves attention, exploring our land, being lazy and playing with Max. In 2016 we welcomed our adopted son Max into the world. Max is a smart, energetic three year old with a great sense of humor. We were blessed to be able to build a very positive relationship with Max’s birth mom prior to his arrival. We went to several doctor’s appointments with her and were even lucky enough to be in the hospital when he was born. We continue to have a close relationship with her, sending pictures and getting together with her and her family every few months. We are open to building as open of a relationship with birth parents as they desire.
We are an active family that loves to travel, camp and attend family events in the area. We try to take one to two trips a year as a family to new destinations. This summer we were fortunate to be able to take Max to Disney World. It was the first-time visiting Disney for all of us. It was fun to explore a new place and made for a great family trip before George left for his deployment. We also like to spend quite a bit of time camping during our summers. Max loves exploring the outdoors and camping gives us an opportunity to disconnect from day to day life and reconnect as a family. We are very close to our extended family and spend quite a bit of quality time with them. Cara’s parents and sisters live close by and can be a part of our daily lives. Cara’s parents watch Max daily while both Cara and George work. George also has two sisters and a brother who live close by. It is common for us to meet up with extended family for dinners, birthdays, holidays, weekend trips to museums, carnivals, sporting events and so much more.
Our home is full of love, laughter, happiness, forgiveness and faith. We hope to foster a love for learning, travel and giving back within our children.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about our family. We wish you the best as you decide what is best for you and your child. We will be praying for you and your baby.
