Brad + Deja

Dear Birthparent(s),

We are Brad and Deja! Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We are excited to be on our journey of adoption and cannot wait to welcome a child into our home. We have friends who have been adopted, and friends and family who have adopted children. It’s been something that we’ve wanted to do for some time now. We have struggled with infertility with no success and felt that now is the right time to focus all of our energy on adopting a baby. Whatever journey has led you to this moment, we pray that you feel confident in choosing us to love and protect your baby, giving them a life filled with support, love, happiness, and beautiful memories.

Deja was born and raised in Idaho. She and her parents spent a lot of time traveling, camping, and riding motorcycles. She was very involved in sports including, swim team, cross country, track, and basketball. She is very excited to encourage a child to find a sport they enjoy and support them at all their events. After high school, Deja completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. However, after having a job at a hospital, she found her passion in the world of the operating room and went on to earn her Associates of Applied Sciences in Surgical Technology. Now she works in the operating room alongside surgeons, assisting them with a variety of cases, specializing in orthopedics.

Brad grew up in a military family. He was born in Japan, moved to Germany then to Italy. He did not live in the United States until his family moved to Washington when he was 15. There he attended high school and played many sports like basketball and track. Sports are a major part of Brad’s life. He looks forward to sharing his passion with his future child by supporting them at events or possibly coaching their team. After high school, Brad earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration while working his way through college. He started at the bottom of a company in Idaho, and has worked his way up to being a City Manager for the same company here in Wyoming.

We have been together for 10 years now, and got married 5 years ago. Both of us are very lucky with our work schedules being Monday – Friday so that we can spend evenings and weekends together. We like to get house and yard work done so we can spend the rest of our free time exploring our beautiful state, or even just enjoying our backyard with our three dogs: Rusty (Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso), Onyx (Goldendoodle), and Max (Maltipoo). We also spend a lot of time with Deja’s parents who live about five minutes away. Brad’s family lives in Texas, so we like to travel down to visit them for some holidays or meet them at a destination for a group vacation. Both Brad and Deja’s parents are very eager to welcome their first grandchild. Some activities we enjoy are taking our ATV out to ride somewhere, camping in the mountains, taking day trips to see new places, or going out to the lake to relax and let the dogs swim. Traveling is something that we love to do. We have visited many states together, been on cruises, and explored Canada and Mexico. We are excited to be able to add a new member to our family to bring with us on our future travels.
