Erin Milburn was born and raised in Wyoming. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology at LCCC in 1996 and worked as an x-ray tech for 12 years. She then decided to be closer to home and her two young sons and worked as a substitute teacher for nine years. She returned to school to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education online through Western Governors University. In 2018, she started teaching full-time in the classroom. She is a first-grade teacher at Afflerbach Elementary school in Cheyenne. She earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2023. Erin also coaches Girls On The Run at Afflerbach for 3rd through 6th grade girls who wish to join. It is a program aiming to “inspire, empower, and strengthen girls in their community.”
Erin’s oldest son is a University of Wyoming graduate, and her younger son is currently attending UW. She lives with her husband of 26 years and two spunky Boxers. Erin loves Wyoming’s variety and beauty and being out in it, loves to read, and loves working with the young energy of children. Erin has a passion for helping children get what they need to live meaningful, successful lives. She is grateful to be a part of the work that Wyoming Children’s Society does for Wyoming adoptive families.
